Some ideas for marketing your business....

Get a Strong Brand
What does your logo say about you? How effectively does your marketing literature engage with your target audience? How consistent are your communications? Do people know what to expect from you?

Create a Structured Marketing Plan
The best marketing is well planned and consistent, rather than a knee-jerk reaction to low sales! Who will you target, what are you trying to achieve and what’s the best way to do that?

Define your target Audience
Be as specific as you can. Think about age, gender, job role, what’s important to them and how you can help.
You may find you need to create a number of profiles. Use this as a benchmark whenever you create a piece of marketing literature.

Know the Competition
Who are they, what do they do and how are you better? How do they market themselves and what can you do differently?

Communicate Your Brand
Once you’ve created a strong brand, use it consistently across all your marketing literature to create a look your clients and prospects can engage with.

Your Existing Customers
Keep in contact with your clients or they’ll forget about you. Boo! Think of reasons to get in touch; a special offer, newsletter or just send something you think might interest them.

Follow up on Enquiries
It often takes a while to build up enough trust for enquiries to become customers, so plan to keep in touch with them on a regular basis.

Communicate One Clear Message
Identify one proposition that you know will engage your target market, and let that be the main message of any direct mail piece.
If you try to be all things to all people you’ll end up appealing to no one.

Get Feedback
Asking your clients what they think needn’t be as scary as it sounds. It’s a great way to keep in touch and show how much you value them.

Say Thank you
Sometimes it’s the small things that count. What will you do this year to say Thank You to your customers?
